"The fashionable woman wears clothes. The clothes don't wear her." - Mary Quant

Fashionista. A word made up to describe women who live and breathe fashion. Typically, when one hears the word "fashionista" only one name come to mind to epitomize this stylish woman: Carrie Bradshaw. That's right. The fictional character from the TV series "Sex and the City," as portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker, who took fashion to a whole new level.

Being a Aunt, Having a niece
Sunday, April 30, 2017 at April 30, 2017

Thoughts of being a Aunt? hmmm I don't know how to explain that feeling.. Just that now a days when I see baby clothes I just want to buy them all for my baby niece. Got really carried away. And she is the first baby of the next generation in my family! My parents are so over joyed!

Yes. My 1st Sister is having her first baby girl. She named her Emma. I was like WHAT? Emma? same as Emma Wu 鬼鬼? 😆  what a great name! I hope you grow up just like her. Pretty babe.
She is giving birth on the 3rd week of July I think. I can't wait to see my baby niece!

I know I'm not the only one who is a Aunt at 22 years old. I mean come on Singapore population is so big. But I think I will be the most childish Aunt ever who doesn't like growing up. I mean I'm not that mature by looking at my aged. People always mistake me as 18, 19 or so .. LOL 😄 and I don't like those boring documentaries. PLAY is my favourite word. I think I would spoilt her so much till my sister gonna faint.

I brought baby clothes for Emma in Seoul, they are all super cute! Just wanna share about this store! The owner is really nice and friendly. She can even speaks a little English. If you are thinking of getting baby clothes in Seoul, give this shop a visit!
The Shop named In English is called Mom & Kids. A Simple store located near Anguk Station. We spotted this shop when we are heading to Paris Baguette for breakfast.
Directions: Anguk Station Exit 2. Walk straight till you see a cross road and  OnedayHanbok a cross the street on the left. Don't cross the road, turn right and walk up. till you see Paris Baguette and turn right then you will spot this shop on your right hand side.
The shop is really cute! Lots of baby clothes and kid clothes!
I walk in and was super amazed by the selection! SO MANY! SO HARD TO CHOOSE!
Almost wanted to buy 4 sets of clothes. No kidding. But was stopped by my friend so I ended up buying 2 sets and a beanie.
Price wise is was to the Mid high range. I didn't know kids clothing is actually more expensive than adult's clothing. wow! isn't it suppose to be cheaper? since it uses less cloth? haha 😃
I bought 3 items for 65,000 Korean Won (after discount) I can't remember what's the original price. Which was about 80SGD (convert online). Super pricy but the materiel is high quality. Not those thin kind.

SO CUTE !!! 😍😍😍

To Emma : welcome to the world my little princess, I hope you will grow up as a chubby, cute, pretty,healthy and a happy baby! I confirm that you will be showered with lots of love. I can't wait to see you. I kept thinking who will you look like. My sister or my brother-in-law. I'm thinking are you gonna have big eyes or small eyes. Are u going to be a fat baby or a skinny one. But as long as you are healthy I'm happy. counting down to 3 months time! See you in July! I'm going to Vlog your first day! love you! - Your cute and childish Aunt Clarissa

Korea,Seoul Spring Trip 2017
Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at April 19, 2017
Spring Seoul 2017. Let's go!

Date: 4 April - 15 April 2017
Weather: Shine and cold. Pepare jackets, windbreakers, hoodies, Jeans, leggings/stocking, shorts, Long sleeves.
Where: Korea, Seoul
Apartment: https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/16035574  744SGD for 10Nights.
Flight: Thai Airways. Transit to Hong Kong and Bangkok (Meals Included). 494.85SGD with 30KG baggage included.

Did a photo collection of my trip to Seoul. Its a 32min Video because I have too many photos I want to share with you guys! 😆😆😆 ps; If you are willing to spent time please view the video.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Moving on...

I changed the apartment I used to stay previously. For what I recommend is book a Airbnb that is  located in the heart of Seoul. example: Hongdae, Dongdaemun, Seoul station, Myeongdong etc..
Or booked a Airbnb that is located near MRT/ Metro/Subway(what they called in Seoul) that connects to many different Metro lines. So its easier for you to travel around.

IMPORTANT! Is also whether the owner is friendly and willing to go extra mile to help. I like this Airbnb owner very much! thumbs up! She willing to go extra mile to help me check on places to go and where to catch cherry blossom.

In Seoul the most public transport we used is Metro/Subway. Buses very rare. If you know Korean language(can communicate with the driver) and which stop you're heading too, why not give the buses a try. I bet its cheaper than Metro. (Metro cost 1,250 Korean Won every trip. May add 100 Korean Won if you travelled to a very far station.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I'm not going to post day by day but just to share my overall experience and the places I went.
Let's begin!
😆
First important thing is to rent a Hanbok ‎한복. And visit all the palaces in Seoul because its free entry when you visit the palaces wearing ‎한복. Expect for Changdeokgung secret garden (guided tour only)

Where we rent our Hanbok ‎한복?!
Instagram: @onedayhanbok
Process of renting a Hanbok is very easy.
1. Book your Hanbok fitting session, Email (Name, Date & Time, Number of people) to onedayhb@naver.com
2. Choose your Hanbok, You get to choose 2 Hanbok for fitting. They have sizes up to XL which is size 9. Then rent your favourite Hanbok accessories for free! (Note: an additional fee is required for special accessories such as King accessories).
3.  Hanbok Rental fee: 4 Hours - 15,000 Korean Won (its much cheaper when you buy on seoulpass)

  • 1 Day (24 Hours) - 28,000 Korean Won (Minimum rental duration is 4 hours)
  • Additional hourly fee - 4,500 Korean won
  • Basic accessories - Free (Hair accessories, bags) Special accessories - 2,000 Korean won (Kings hat, Gisaeng hat, Gat, dress underskirt etc.)

  • 4. Hanbok Rental Deposit: Copy of ID card + Hanbok Rental Deposit of 50,000 Korean Won per Hanbok. OR deposit ID card + Hanbok Rental Deposit of 10,000 Korean Won per Hanbok* As a substitute an ID card, a valid Passport or Korean Alien Registration Card will be accepted * In case of group booking (max. 6 people), only 1 ID card is required.
    5 & 6. Enjoy your Hanbok session and Return your Hanbok back to onedayhanbok.
    7. You can even book a professional photographer (with a extra cost) during your Hanbok rental period. check out their website for more!
    😊😊😊😊😊😊
    Visit Bukchon Hanok Village 북촌한옥마을 during your Hanbok rental period! Its located near the shop! Just turn right and walk up from the shop.
    A visit to Paris Baguette too!
    전복죽 a must eat when you're in Korea!
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    I would say it's a must to visit the famous samgyetang near gyeongbokgung during your every trip to Seoul!
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    Andong-jjimdak(안동찜닭) is a variety of jjim (a Korean steamed or boiled dish), which originated in the city of Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and is made with chicken, various vegetables marinated in a ganjang (Korean soy sauce) based sauce. The name literally means "steamed chicken of Andong.

    Talking about food... It links me to Myeongdong! During our 10 days there I think Myeongdong is our number 1 food choice because it has street food and A LOT of restaurants.

    BBQ in Seoul is a must!!! Cheap and good!
    Myeongdong Kyoja 명동교자
    Yooganae Dakgalbi at Myeongdong. (level 2)
    We went twice to eat there. First its the cheesy spicy dakgalbi which cost 20,000 Korean won for 2 person. Second was the Normal spicy dakgalbi which cost 16,000 Korean Won for 2 person.
    Location: Myeong-dong Station (Exit 6). walk down all the way to laneige and turn left walk up till you see moonshot. its around that area. You can spot Olive Young store opposite the restaurant.
    MUST TRY IN MYEONGDONG! I can't describe how delicious is the taste! I tried once and fell in love with it totally. So everyday I'm pestering my friend to go myeongdong and eat this. YOU CAN'T FIND THIS ANYWHERE IN SINGAPORE!
    32cm super long ice-cream! for 3,000 Korean Won if I'm not wrong.
    It's not those super milky and soft ice cream you ate in Singapore. More like an sorbet can of taste.

    Remember to find all these good food when you visit Myeongdong 명동!

    Newly opened One Piece themed Café in Hongdae. Super nice ambience and a cozy café to just have a drink and chat with your friends. To Enter the 2nd floor all you have to do is just buy a drink.
    We went there and tried the Pirate lunch box 15,000 Korean Won , Green Apple Fizz , Passion Fruit Fizz 6,000 Korean Won each, Straw hat crew's mixed soft serve ice cream 4,000 Korean Won. Overall the food is nice, portion is super big which is good because its worth the price.
    Have a try when you hope by Hongdae!

    Directions: Hongik Univ. Station (line 2) Exit 9. Walk towards the main gate of Hongik Univ. and turn right. the café is located at the alley behind Starbucks. (approx. 10min by walk).

    First visit to karaoke! Karaoke is called Norebang 노래방.
    We Sang 2 hours for 10,000 Korean Won. Pros; it's cheap and I always wanted to try karaoke in Seoul. Cons; You must know how to read Korean. Plus the way they search and select a song is from a book! YES a book filled with Korean words. Unless you are VERY familiar with k-pop eg: their Korean name and song etc.. otherwise save that 10,000 Korean Won. And they have no singer support version. Not like in Singapore you can sing the original version. So either you memorise the song that you want to sing or be prepare to be stunt like us.
    Overall it's a good experience! They even have a 90's mic stand! How cool!
    For directions you look for the mobile tourist officer wearing red. Name: Sue Noreabang.
    Met this cutie when we are at Ewha Women Univ.

    INTRODUCING THE DISCOVER SEOUL PASS EXCLUSIVE FOR TOURIST!
    Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsNbeDeOcAc (you can try the pass by following this schedule)
    Price: 39,900 Korean Won
    Includes 16 free attractions within 24hours when its activated.
    There is a map included in the package but doesn't state the address and location. So you have to do research on the places you want to visit using the pass and how much time would you spent there because you only have 24 hours. Obviously you can't visit 16 places within 24 hours. You may have to do some calculation on the entrance fee and public transport VS the Discover Pass and public transport.
    Personally I think it's not worth the buy
    1. public transport already taken most of the time. Plus still need walking time.
    2. It's Located all over Seoul.
    3. We went only 4 places within our 24hours.

    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    Time for some k-pop entertainment visit! since they are all located around the same area.
    except for YG Entertainment. which is at Hapjeong.
    Directions: Apgujeong Rodeo Station (Bundang Line) exit 2, you will immediately see K-Star Road where a lineup of Gangnamdol of different K-Pop groups from entertainment agencies located in the same area can be found.
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    Visit COEX Aquarium(코엑스아쿠아리움) in seoul!
    Price: 25,000 Korean Won , 10% off when you buy on SeoulPass. We bought the ticket at 22,500 Korean Won.
    Craving for fast food so we decided to gave Burger King a try, it turns out awesomely delicious. The Burger is so VERY big and juicy. So must better to what Singapore is serving. Overall what a hearty and sinful meal. But its all worth it.
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    Basically you will spent the whole day there. so you may want to plan a day at lotte world and a day at Neverland. For what I know Neverland is located out of Seoul. Booked and Paid through SeoulPass on a 80% discount. we paid 19,000 Korean Won each.
    Include Transport and English speaking staff.
    The bus ride was VERY long! took us 3 hours to reach the festival and we spent about 2+ hour there. The festival was not like a very grand one. I think its the only aunties and uncles will attend kind. I like the ocean Tour. We went to Anmok Beach and the coffee/café street. The tour guide recommend us to go Bossanova . Lastly is what I'm most excited off! The Goblin filming scene! at Youngjin Beach!
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    The End! Cheers! Looking forward to my next trip to Korea in 2018!
