DC Trip to Bangkok
Friday, March 11, 2016 at March 11, 2016
#clarteoadventure sets off to Bangkok! 2-7 March 2016. With my awesome bff doel. loves...
Flight: Air Asia
Apartment: https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/2474294
Airplane Meal. The portion is not big but its really nice. I guess they really improve on the airplane food.
Taxi to our apartment! lets go.
 The journey took only like 30min with a fare of not more than 200-250bhat plus a toll fee of 70bhat which is paid separately. And note that toll fee is to paid by the passenger on the spot.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////

View of the apartment. Place rated 10/10. its really a lovely place. the bed is super big. haha why didn't we stayed in a hotel? Because airbnb is really more affordable than a hotel and its like a whole house to ourselves! haha who doesn't like a house VS just a room. The apartment is very close to mrt, just a 15min walk. I really love the neighbourhood and 7-11 haha there is like 3 store along the same street!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
places we went.
1. Terminal 21

Overall Rate 8.5/10. Clothes there are not really cheap. More like those normal shopping mall in Singapore. But the concept is really cool. Even the staff and security there are all wearing pilot and air stewardess costume. The food there is ok. good, counted cheap I guess. But u must use their card in order to purchase. example like kopitiam card. But the good thing is you can take back the money if you didn't spent it all. but of course the card is taken back.
Directions: Asoke BTS Exit 1, Sukhumvit MRT
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Traffic is terrible in Bangkok and yes it is! the jam starts at 5 and it doesn't end even its like 3am?!?!?!?!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
2. Platinum Mall
He is not sitting on ANYTHING.
The mall is quite disappointing. I think we went there too late most of the shops are closed already. But there are night markets along the roadside. the whole stretch until chidlom BTS.
Directions: http://www.bangkok.com/shopping-mall/platinum.htm ps; its walkable(walk on the bridge and take the stairs down towards holiday Inn and keep walking straight u will see intercontinental just keep walking and when you see Big C find a overhead bridge and there you are the mall is just right ahead) if you really don't mind plus they are night markets on the roads too so just walk and shop.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
This is taken at victory monument.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Bangkok MRT!
only underground.
BTS Bangkok
Not underground. like our MRT. hahaha
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////

3. Khaosan Road. directions alight at Hua Lamphong MRT and take tuktuk for 100bhat.
OH MY GOD! SHE ATE IT!!!!!!! hahahahaha
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
4. Sampeng Market, Chinatown just take tuktuk, its the easiest.
I didn't take any photos.. because we was busy shopping hahahaha but the market is really very big. it has like 3 streets.
5. Lin Zhen Xiang Pork floss foodies http://aroimakmak.com/lin-zhen-xiang-yaowarat/
6. T&K Seafood, Chinatown. http://foodiefc.blogspot.sg/2013/11/t-seafood-at-chinatown-thailand-bangkok.html Its just around the corner. quite near Lin Zhen Xiang. You can ask the Thais for direction, they are very lightly to help. And I must say Thais are very friendly! although they don't really speak English but they will still try their best to help.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Took TukTuk back home. The distance was super long plus there were a few jams here and there. This uncle is super kind. willing to send us for 200bhat. I tipped him 60bhat because although he is not familiar with the area of the apartment and he had to ask people for directions too.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
7. Asiatique Riverfront. Directions: Alight at Saphan Taskin BTS and take the free boat ride. The last boat ride is at 11:30pm from Asiatique.

 We took the last ride back and oh well of course we miss our last mrt back home. So we are stuck at Sala Daeng MRT station and we saw night market, so why not one more round of shopping. hahaha and supper back home!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
You need to take a tuktuk 40bhat to the café because its not a walkable distance.
Fill in your Particulars
Read the rules and regulations
We when there for the 3:30pm timing. And we can interact with the husky for 1hour 4-5pm. Take photos play with them.. They are soooooo super cute!
There is even souvenirs for you to bring home! The owner went all the way to Norway or I don't know a very far country just to bring those plushies back. Because she said Asia husky plushies are not cute.
More photos of the husky at my facebook page!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
with Witty(the owner) and other apartment guests. (:

This is the 2nd Rod Fai market opened in January 2015, similar to the 1st market but its not as big and not much of the vintage display. The market at Ratchada is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00pm until 1:00am. All I can say is its a MUST to visit the market! there is all kinds of bars and food and cheap shopping.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I saw Mario and I can't help but to take a picture of him XD hahaha
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
This bag of chips is so so so so so good! totally loving it. And you can't find this in Singapore as well as their thai milk tea! haha oh ya wait you can find it at golden mile but the price is definitely not cheap. duh....

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
12. Chatuchak market http://www.chatuchak.org/

The market is really very big. I don't even think we walked every section. You will definitely find things you like. we bought damn lots of clothes back haha. Happy bargaining too.
Oh ya.. if you see anything you like at a store please buy them on the spot because it will just disappear when you try to look back for the store. we tried that so I know. haha
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Conclusion: Bangkok is a friendly and nice country! with cheap/affordable public transport fare, lots of food stores along the streets everywhere that you will never ever go hungry. I love their Thai ice Tea (Cha Yan) so much, I've been drinking it since the moment I touched down Bangkok. You can even buy the sim card at the airport, its not expensive. We bought ours for 290bhat for 7days of unlimited internet data 3G/4G and 30 or 50bhat free of money for calls, both local and oversea. Lucky for that I can call my parent when I'm buying their stuff.
Tuktuk is cheap and it drives you everywhere. During our trips the only road transport for us is tuktuk other then BTS and MRT. Only took taxi from and back to the airport.
oh yes! talking about tuktuk, how lucky is us that we met the same tuktuk uncle in the same day! XD
He is the one I'm talking about sending us home all the way from Chinatown and we saw him again at sala daeng because we miss our last train. How we remember him? because of his hat!
hahahahaha the $$$$$$ hat !!!

I'm so happy that I went on this trip with my bff and met many awesome people along the way. Now I know why people likes traveling. I'm loving it. Its our first solo trip and first time in Bangkok, I'm so proud of myself that I googled all the places up without even knowing how to travel in Bangkok.
woorah for google! I know it may not be a lot of places but we tried our best. I think for a first timer this is actually not bad. haha well I can't wait to go back Bangkok again!.
